After a very tough 2011 season, preparations have already started for the 2012 season.
The Egypt Rally Championship 2012 season is composed of 3 races (pending federation approval):
1- Egypt Rally Cup 11-13 May 2012.
2- Pharaons Rally 27 September - 5 October 2012.
3- Egypt Desert Challenge 2 - 5 November 2012.
General Notes:
- The FIA points allocation in cross country rally world cup for general classification without group classification will be used as follows:
(1st : 25 points / 2nd : 18 points / 3rd : 15 points / 4th : 12 points / 5th : 10 points
6th : 8 points / 7th : 6 points / 8th : 4 points / 9th : 2 points / 10th : 1 point).
- Pharaons points are multiplied by 3. Points are taken on overall ranking.
- A minimum participation in 2 rallies are necessary to qualify for the championship.
- The local rallies awards are first three overall and first three T2.
- The championship awards are first five overall pilot and first five overall copilot based on the points calculation.
- In case of a tie in points, the best individual overall result wins. In case of a further tie, the racer with the most participation wins.
